The Ending Is Better Than the Beginning
Across the fancy eatery where the snobbish men dined sat a lonely boy,
His face and body assured everyone that he had seen the worst days,
Living in penury he had no one to lend him a helping hand,
Nonetheless his mind was at ease, his end would be better than the beginning,
Every day the dining establishment would be bustling with people,
The owner was friendly and would let the boy have one meal a day,
But for this he had to clean at night after the business closes,
The boy did this gladly knowing that his end would be better than the beginning,
Cuddling himself to sleep after duty he would dream away his destitute life,
The night would be long and cold with silence reigning everywhere,
Tomorrow would be another day to watch the wealthy show off their lavish lifestyle,
Fortune will sway his way one day and the end will be better than the beginning,
He knew everyone thought he was out of place but he had a plan,
People would look at him with peculiar smiles but he never put that to heart,
Darkness would be his companion, moments would pass but his eyes were affixed to the goal,
His soul was illuminated with hope for he knew that the end will be better than the beginning,
Time being precious dreams would ideate his mind and hope rejuvenate his soul,
The universe oozed wisdom, at the yonder there was something he could believe in,
A flame of innovation would traverse his thoughts and embers of joy engulf his nerves,
That street was a beacon of strength he knew his end will be better than the beginning,
At dawn sun would dry the dank while birds would fill the abode with melodious chirps,
The boy would stand there so alone and so cold but still heaving a sigh of relief,
Daylight would mean people throng the diner earning him company albeit for a short time,
Yet in all these his vision became transpicuous, he knew end will be better than the beginning,
He did not waver though he had no playmates for himself or friends to share his laughter with,
He believed emptiness around him should not be a hitch to achieving his dreams,
With patience and shrewdness he would change his fate and be rich someday,
For even when life was full of twist and turns he knew his end will be better than the beginning,
Power of hope was at play clemency of the diner’s owner became his stepping stone,
With brevity and gentleness he approached him and asked for employment at the ancient eatery,
This way he would get to earn a decent living and rid himself of peasantry,
The owner needed another hand and hired him, his end would be better than the beginning,
With priceless joy he put on his uniform and attended to every customer with patience and love,
None of the rich realized he is the same lonely boy from across the street serving them,
His face was shiny with smiles all through and the new attire matched with his body figure,
His journey to prosperity had began, and onwards he was destined for greater success,
Through trials and challenges he kept his faith that he would one day succeed,
And when all hope seemed gone he never gave up but looked forward to each day,
He had strength in him that burn eternally and the universe would smile on him someday,
In the face of adversities he would stand tall for his end would be better than the beginning,
His innocent face and hard work earned him reputation amongst the favorite customers,
Within few months he became the face of the diner and more duties fell on his shoulder,
The obstacles that loomed ahead were gone his track was now clear to his destination,
In the darkness of nights beacon of hope was been shining brightly with might,
The aged owner trusted him fully and delegated to him more duties as he was a responsible boy,
His world was full of joy and love, and spoke of great future for him and the diner,
The staff looked up to him for wisdom and encouragement and he gave it freely,
The customers enjoyed his new recipes and indeed he was been able to tilt the scales of life,
His vision had grown and spread its wings to all those around him and beyond,
To them he became a treasure which they couldn’t measure, an ember they couldn’t ignore,
He shared with them his plans, his dream of one day owning a diner,
His strong will to live and ability to survive had paid off; his end was becoming better,
From what he earned he saved every coin for he had nothing or no one to spend on,
The first stair to success he had climbed and his eyes focused on every step to the top,
New friends emerged; the snobbish clients had a change of heart and embraced him,
The universe was powering his will and the train of fortune was driving his way,
His vision came through new opportunities came forth and he took his leap of faith,
In no time he had save enough to buy a space and set up his own shop,
The owner let him free happily and he went his way to start a new chapter of his life,
He had done his best and the gods were happy to make his end better than his beginning,
The shop had clients from near and distant lands and earned him a big fortune,
Now he would stand amongst the merchants at the city square and share his thoughts,
For now he was no longer the pauper boy, whom everyone looked down on,
But a man of means, a charismatic leader and a voice of the voiceless in the society,
He became a beacon of hope, a source of joy to his friends and the society,
When the time for the local elections came, the elders implored him to be their leader,
He accepted, was voted in and brought many positive changes to his village,
Everyone was happy, his village developed and his end was better than his beginning.
